Capital Roots has been helping residents of Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties improve their neighborhoods and access healthy food since 1975. Our mission is to nourish healthy communities by providing access to fresh food and green spaces for all.
What can your donation accomplish?
$35 - Provides seeds, tools and resources for a Community Gardener.
$60 - Delivers 100 meals worth of top quality fresh, local food via Squash Hunger.
$120 - Keeps the Veggie Mobile® rolling with biodiesel fuel for a week.
$300 - Brings produce deliveries to an neighborhood Healthy Store.
$600 - Provides over 1,000 apples from local farms to students with Farm to School.
$750 - An elementary school class gets to learn about and taste fruits and veggies with the Taste Good Series.
$1,200 - A semester's stipend for a Produce Project student.
$2,500 - Purchase needed equipment and soil enrichments to support our 55 Community Gardens.
