Capital Roots has been helping residents of Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties improve their neighborhoods and access healthy food since 1975. Our mission is to nourish healthy communities by providing access to fresh food and green spaces for all.
What can your donation accomplish?
$45 - Celebrates Capital Roots' 45 years of healthy food access work.
$60 – Provides free seeds and plants for a low-income community gardener.
$120 – Buys Veggie Mobile® biodiesel fuel for a week.
$250 - Offers one month of produce deliveries to an innter-city Healthy Store.
$500 - Provides fresh produce to 75 emergency food programs.
$750 – Provides an elementary school class fruits and veggies with the Taste Good Series.
$1,200 – Provides a semester's stipend for Produce Project teen.
$2,500 – Delivers farm fresh apples to local schools for a month.
$5,000 – Builds and supplies garden plots at a new community garden.
